Weligama House is one of a small collection built in a style unique for Sri Lanka, overlooking a small bay, just west of Weligama town on the South Coast with supreme views to the ocean and the headlands that spread in either direction. 

The design is East-African inspired, borrowing from the town-house aesthetic of villas in Lamu just off the Kenyan coast. The Arabic touches of that style set it well apart from anything (its sister properties aside) on the island. 

The house has four main levels with an additional lower ground floor space as ‘baraza’ (meeting) area. It has:

All the bedrooms at the villa open to terraces with views to the ocean and the top floor provides a gorgeous space for breakfast, yoga, or evening parties - the villa no doubt superb for hosting family and friends.

Entering the property on the ground floor you see first the stunning pool that seems to run to the ocean. A wide verandah is flanked by a massage room and spacious pool/shower room.

An internal staircase leads to a large living area and dining verandah that overlooks the pool below. Two double bedrooms adjoin either side of the dining space, each with their own private terrace looking to the ocean.

The second floor offers the Master bedroom opening to a large wide verandah. Two further bedrooms sit on the second floor.

The third floor offers an open-plan dining and living area with panoramic views over the ocean and Weligama Bay.
